About the Role
This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional services to the people of NSW, create innovative solutions, and foster strong partnerships by managing a collaborative team delivering contract management, procurement governance, and commercial assurance for the Sydney Metro project.
Responsibilities
- Manage a collaborative team delivering effective contract management, procurement governance and commercial assurance for the Sydney Metro project.
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of contract management systems, procurement strategies and governance frameworks.
- Help minimise contractual and probity risks, strengthen supplier performance and support the delivery of value-for-money and best-for-project outcomes.
- Build strong relationships across integrated project teams, government agencies, service providers and contractors to navigate complex commercial matters and deliver practical solutions.
- Lead and develop others, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing improvement of contract management practices across Sydney Metro.
Requirements
- Commercial judgement, leadership capability and contract management expertise developed across government, transport, infrastructure, construction, professional services or similarly complex environments.
- Ability to provide trusted advice, identify emerging contractual risks and guide effective mitigation strategies.
- Ethical, collaborative and outcomes-focused leadership style.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining strong governance and accountability.
- Skilled at influencing and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to resolve complex commercial issues.
- Ability to establish productive supplier relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of NSW Government procurement policies and guidelines.
