About the Role

Join our Finance team as a Billing Consultant to resolve complex customer billing inquiries and disputes, delivering a high standard of customer service. You will investigate billing issues end-to-end, analyze invoices, contracts, pricing, and account data to determine outcomes and communicate them clearly. This role involves collaborating with various departments to resolve complex billing matters, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures. You will also have the opportunity to improve processes, reporting, and leverage AI and modern technology for more efficient billing resolution. Your work will directly impact customer experience and NPS.

Responsibilities

Resolve complex customer billing inquiries and disputes.
Investigate billing issues from end to end, analyzing invoices, contracts, pricing, account information, and billing data.
Determine the right outcome for billing issues and communicate it clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Credit, Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales, suppliers, and carriers to resolve complex billing matters.
Identify root causes of recurring billing issues and find ways to prevent them.
Improve processes, reporting, and ways of working, including leveraging AI and modern technology.
Work across Macquarie Technology Group’s business and government customer base.

Requirements

Analytical problem solver who enjoys investigating issues and finding practical solutions.
Experience in billing, customer resolutions, revenue analysis, or a similar role, ideally within telecommunications or technology.
Highly detail-oriented and comfortable working through complex invoices, contracts, pricing, and account information.
Strong customer focus and ownership of issues from initial inquiry through to resolution.
Confident communicating with customers and stakeholders, explaining complex billing matters clearly.
Commercially minded with an understanding of how billing issues impact customers and the business.
Proactive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Comfortable working across multiple teams and building strong relationships to get things resolved.
