About the Role
H2M architects + engineers seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in our GIS/Planning Division at our Melville, NY office. The internship program offers students an opportunity to grow through robust, hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of various forms of GIS data.
- Assist in preparing Environmental Assessment Forms and Environmental Impact Statements.
- Organize project files and compile reports containing multiple chapters and appendices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Geography, Environmental Science/Studies, Geology, Urban Planning, Engineering, Political Science, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work individually and in a team.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Esri’s suite of GIS products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online.
