About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to provide HSE advice on a challenging rail project. The role involves delivering initiatives to improve the John Holland HSE culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
Responsibilities
- Providing expert advice to ensure compliance with John Holland, Client, and Regulatory requirements
- Implementing and maintaining company safety inspections and audit schedules
- Carrying out site safety inspections and providing support to action corrective actions
- Liaising with Projects to gain insights into how to improve John Holland systems
- Developing and implementing strategies that improve operational performance
- Providing support to develop safety documentation such as SWMS and work plans
- Planning and facilitating hazard analysis and risk assessment activities in a multi-discipline work environment
- Reviewing and implementing legislative and regulatory changes as required
- Management of incident reporting, and closing out non-compliance issues in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Relevant experience in a safety role
- Experience in the Rail and Transport industry is desirable
- Knowledge developing and implementing Safety Management Systems and Safety Management Tools is essential
- The ability to interpret project related documents, prepare reports and monitor compliance documentation is essential
- A high level of experience with Microsoft Office and Safety systems is essential
