About the Role
Fundata Canada Inc. is seeking a Junior Analyst to support the Analytics & Data team in maintaining the document library, monitoring daily processes, conducting financial data analysis, and general data collection. This is a one-year term position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data collection process for investment funds including ETFs and hedge funds
- Act as an expert resource for client service and development staff
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and data audit activities
- Perform statistical and quantitative analysis on various portfolios and funds
- Assist with the development of mutual fund analytic products and special projects
Requirements
- Knowledge of securities or mutual fund industry
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Some experience with or willingness to learn SQL
- Ability to work with a high volume of data on a deadline-oriented basis
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience or willingness to use tools such as VBA, R, machine learning, coding, or data science techniques for problem-solving
- Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision

- Pursuing or willingness to pursue a CFA or other designation is considered an asset
