About the Role
The IT Intern will support the TechEx team's daily operations, focusing on maintaining and enhancing technical processes and project activities. The intern will gain hands-on experience in technical support, asset management, and workflow automation, contributing to team projects and IT initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Shadow the TechEx Team to gain firsthand experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Assist in setting up and testing audiovisual (AV) equipment in meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Address technical challenges as they arise, contributing to quick resolutions and documenting solutions.
- Conduct routine checks of meeting rooms to verify AV equipment and technical assets are in good working order.
- Document issues encountered during inspections and coordinate with relevant team members for repairs or replacements.
- Recommend improvements or upgrades to meeting room setups.
- Collaborate to design, develop, and refine automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Create and update comprehensive guides and documentation for automated workflows.
- Keep the team informed about updates and changes to workflows.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of team projects.
- Create and manage project-related documents.
- Work closely with project leaders to track action items and facilitate communication.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from deployment to disposal.
- Conduct regular audits of asset inventory.
- Assist in securely wiping devices and maintain detailed records of asset status and location.
- Review and assess the condition of faulty assets and communicate findings for repair or replacement decisions.
- Track and manage tickets related to asset allocation, maintenance, and support requests.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of IT concepts.
- Strong desire to learn about technical support and IT operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Strong focus on accuracy when handling technical documentation and tracking assets.
- Must be enrolled in studies for the full duration of the internship.
- Must include a cover letter outlining expected graduation month and year, interest in NBCUniversal, and strengths/skills/experiences.
