About the Role
As a Partnerships Intern, you'll help bring Universal film campaigns to life by working with well-known brands, retailers, and promotional partners. You'll support the team with campaign planning, partnership research, event coordination, reporting, and identifying creative opportunities that connect audiences with NBCUniversal films and content. You'll gain hands-on experience across marketing, brand partnerships, and the entertainment industry while supporting movie releases from concept through to campaign execution.
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly Marketing, Partnerships and Exhibition team WIPs
- Attend monthly Consumer Products & Home Entertainment WIPs
- Update the partnerships database to ensure contacts are most current
- Research potential partners for film specific promotions (e.g., competitor activity, media monitoring, and browsing)
- Research competitor brand partnership programs and prepare competitor reports on major competitive titles
- Research competitor exhibitor promotional activity and prepare competitor exhibition program reports on major competitive titles
- Research major sporting, seasonal, and music events for potential partnership tie-ins with Universal film releases
- Source leads and contacts at brands to refine pitch lists to the Partnerships team
- Assist in the creation of exhibition post-campaign reports
- Assist in the creation of third-party partner post-campaign reports
- Fulfill prizes and send merchandise to winners
- Send in-season passes to partners
- Provide general administrative and event support at screenings and premiere events
- Take minutes during Partnerships and Exhibition team WIPs
- Sign up to exhibitors’ EDMs and report major campaign activities with competitor titles on a regular basis
- Sign up and review industry publications to stay across industry news, product launches, brand partnership opportunities, and updated contacts
- Perform other ad-hoc admin tasks as briefed
Requirements
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Work, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Well organized with great prioritization skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent communication and a great team player
- Passionate about the film industry
- Currently undertaking university study in a communications or marketing-based discipline
- Passion and knowledge of the film industry
- Must be enrolled in studies for the full duration of the internship
- Must include a cover letter outlining expected graduation month and year, interest in NBCUniversal, and strengths/skills/experiences to bring to the role
