About the Role
This part-time internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in marketing and publicity within the film industry. The role involves supporting the Marketing and Publicity team with various administrative, research, and event-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly Marketing and Publicity team WIPs.
- Review daily Social Diary EDM for new database contacts, product launches, and publicity opportunities.
- Report key headlines weekly.
- Collate screening reactions for global reports.
- Pull quotes for opening day review reports.
- Update Influencer Activity tracker.
- Provide general administrative assistance as required.
- Continually update the NSW Publicity Database.
- Research potential partners for film specific promotions, including competitor activity and media monitoring.
- Research major sporting, seasonal, and music events for potential publicity tie-ins.
- Source leads by gathering market intelligence on media outlets and influencers.
- Manage prize fulfillment and merchandise distribution to winners.
- Send out in-season passes to NSW based partners.
- Provide general administrative and event support at local Sydney screenings and premiere events.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Work, Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Well organized with great prioritization skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A great team player.
- Available to assist with evening screening events.
- Currently undertaking university study in a communications or marketing-based discipline.
- Passionate about the film industry.
- Must be enrolled in studies for the full duration of the internship.
- Must include a cover letter outlining expected graduation month and year, interest in NBCUniversal, and strengths/skills/experiences.
