About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to orchestrate actions and drive results across the organization. You will join an established team of product, insurance, and technical experts to meet the demands of our growing client pipeline. This role is ideal for a Product Manager or Owner with scale-up experience looking to solve complex problems in the insurance industry. You will focus on executing and unblocking projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and strengthening team operations as a hands-on Product Manager. Our Product Team operates across Discovery, Delivery, and Optimization (DDO+), and we seek individuals who can work within and shape this model.
Responsibilities
- Contribute across discovery, delivery, and optimization, framing problems and opportunities into shaped work with clear hypotheses.
- Ship outcomes and improve existing features based on priority.
- Decide on future development and discontinuation of features using quantitative and qualitative evidence.
- Showcase the reasoning behind product decisions and improve measurability.
- Lead roadmap and delivery discussions with clients, managing their expectations.
- Maintain scope to the smallest effective version, shipping iterative enhancements with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with the VP of Product and team on roadmap direction, prioritization, and strategy.
- Support the definition of our evolving target state for digital and connected insurance businesses.
Requirements
- 10+ years of demonstrable experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, delivering business value.
- Strategic thinker with a business mindset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, technological environment with ambiguity.
- Experience in InsurTech or the Insurance industry.
- Previous experience in a scale-up environment.
- Experience working with remote development teams.
- Preference for agile working and involvement across the full product lifecycle.
- Appetite for helping a product team sharpen its operating rhythm.
- Technical fluency to understand and contribute to technical discussions with engineering teams.
- Sound judgment regarding feasibility and performance trade-offs.
- Ability to make smart product choices aligned with technology impact.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to act as a translator between insurance professionals and engineers.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, user-friendly format.
- A 'do-er' and builder who is hands-on and gets things done.
- Willingness to travel to client sites in the City of London as needed.
