About the Role
Ensure all maintenance and repair in workshop and field are properly done.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate all maintenance work to ensure it is performed within established time frames using PM module reports and fleet tracking reports.
- Oversee daily performance targets of Superintendents and report efficiency tracking to the department HOD.
- Maintain accurate equipment numbers for field and factory cane yard operations.
- Closely monitor all workshop activities and different types of maintenance.
- Oversee and quickly resolve unresolved problems, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review daily intervention and breakdown reports from all Superintendents and submit for final comments from the HOD.
- Coordinate incoming work with existing workloads, ensuring compliance with maintenance, reliability, and inspection requirements.
- Monitor daily spare parts consumption records and store issuances for effective stock utilization, approve OEM spares, and ensure quality handling of all spare parts with 100% usage.
- Perform random checks on equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions before workshop delivery.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of mechanical superintendents/supervisors and verify that teams maintain OEM recommended maintenance activities.
- Manage the section's mechanical updates on the PM module, review daily reports, and submit comments to the HOD, along with a mechanical resource utilization report.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of field operation experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery, harvesters, and heavy machines.
