About the Role
A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Huntington, New York office.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Manage a team of electrical engineers on project design and development tasks such as drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, client communication, and contractor submittal reviews.
- Review design documents.
- Ensure department adherence to QA/QC standards.
- Assist with developing QA/QC standards.
- Assist with business development initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- 5+ years of consulting experience in designing building power, lighting, communication, and security systems.
- Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is preferred.
- PE License required.
- Extensive knowledge of the architectural/engineering industry, including Federal, State, and local laws/regulations.
- Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office or similar software.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Easy Power is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
