About the Role

Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, leveraging AI and predictive algorithms to discover stories and turn them into blockbuster hits. Cinematica is our AI-native video studio that turns stories into high-quality, cinematic videos, aiming to become the operating system for storytellers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Cinematica roadmap end to end, including adaptation, shot generation, character and style consistency, music, editing, and quality evaluation.
  • Define and document quality standards for Inkitt stories on screen.
  • Build the evaluation system for quality, including rubrics, benchmarks, blind comparisons, and human review loops.
  • Own the model and prompt strategy, and make buy-versus-build decisions in collaboration with engineering, design, analytics, and user research.
  • Drive product improvements through the entire lifecycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iterations.
  • Run a tight iteration loop: ship, analyze user behavior, diagnose failures, and feed insights back into the pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and AI-Video Production team to translate craft judgment into scalable systems.
  • Educate and influence cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to secure buy-in on the roadmap.
  • Communicate hypotheses and results to team members and leadership.
  • Report quality as a measurable number and connect it to retention and conversion metrics.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience at a fast-growing tech company, building creative prosumer/enterprise tools or AI-powered products.
  • Experience owning a roadmap, including setting the sequence and making decisions about what not to build.
  • Demonstrable taste and the ability to articulate and codify creative quality.
  • Proven track record owning the quality of creative output at scale and building measurement systems (benchmarks, human eval, blind comparisons, A/B testing).
  • Experience in Generative AI, film and TV post-production, games, animation, or creative tooling is a plus.
  • Experience making things personally, not just managing others.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to quantify qualitative and quantitative data for product and strategic decisions.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Self-starter capable of delivering results with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong product intuition and UX design sensibilities with a user-centric mindset.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure success.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to determine solutions.
