About the Role

This role involves managing a portfolio of Equals' most valuable affiliates, who introduce customers to the company. The position is accountable for the relationships and commercial aspects of these partnerships, including rates, renewals, and ensuring mutual benefit. The ideal candidate will understand complex markets and client onboarding journeys, acting as a key point of contact for high-value referrals and contributing to the growth and development of the affiliate program.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of top-tier affiliates and deliver a monthly and annual target for referred revenue.
  • Build and own an account plan for each affiliate, detailing current and potential referrals and identifying barriers.
  • Leverage knowledge of affiliate industries and jurisdictions to conduct credible conversations.
  • Understand affiliate client onboarding and due diligence processes, collaborating with Onboarding and Compliance to optimize the journey.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with affiliates, covering referral volume, conversion, commission, and pipeline.
  • Negotiate and renew commercial terms, including commission structure, rates, exclusivity, and agreement duration.
  • Manage the agreement lifecycle for the affiliate portfolio, tracking signed agreements and upcoming renewals.
  • Ensure commission accuracy for the portfolio, verifying payments and collaborating with Finance, Data, and Product teams.
  • Design and implement processes for affiliate onboarding, servicing, review, and reporting.
  • Forecast referred volume and revenue accurately at the affiliate level using HubSpot.
  • Qualify referred opportunities, hand them to the designated salesperson, and manage follow-up while keeping the affiliate informed.
  • Develop affiliate enablement materials, including onboarding guides and contact cadence.
  • Report monthly to management on portfolio performance, including root-cause analysis.
  • Represent Equals at industry events and partner forums.

Requirements

  • Managed a portfolio of referral, introducer, or affiliate partners against a revenue target, ideally in payments, FX, fintech, or financial services.
  • Possesses genuine experience with complex and non-traditional industries and clients trading across various jurisdictions.
  • Understands customer onboarding and due diligence sufficiently to guide partners and set realistic client expectations.
  • Confident in negotiating commercial terms and maintaining rate integrity.
  • Proficient with data analysis, including commission, volume, and margin.
  • Familiar with international payments and card issuing.
  • Experience building pricing or commission models.
  • Proven ability to build or reshape processes and drive adoption across teams.
  • Disciplined in using CRM and process tools such as HubSpot, Notion, and Slack.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Comfortable conducting face-to-face commercial negotiations.
  • A builder mentality, comfortable designing ways of working.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Pragmatic approach, balancing control, process, and governance with agility.
