About the Role
Join the core infrastructure team to build scalable backend services for an energy tech platform that enables dynamic energy offerings for OEMs and energy providers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend components using TypeScript and Node.js
- Work with PostgreSQL and an ORM to model and access data efficiently
- Contribute to serverless or server-based backend services, including API routes or server components
- Collaborate on distributed systems design to ensure scalability and maintainability
- Integrate payments and billing flows as part of the product surface
- Own features end to end from design through production shipping
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building reliable backend infrastructure
- Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM based data access
- Experience with Next.js backend services, including API routes or server components
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts and designing scalable core services
- Experience integrating payments and billing flows
- Strong CS fundamentals, formal degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in an early stage startup environment and strong ownership mindset
