About the Role
Basis is building AI agents for the accounting industry and is seeking a content leader to establish the company as a go-to resource. This role will own written content, focusing on social media (LinkedIn, X), customer case studies, and SEO for AI assistants. The position involves building marketing motions from scratch, experimenting with new content formats, and leveraging AI as an operating environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the written side of all content produced.
- Focus on LinkedIn and X for social media content.
- Own customer case studies end-to-end, including interviewing clients.
- Write for various audiences, from CFOs to partners at large accounting firms.
- Develop content strategies for visibility and citation in AI answers (GEO).
- Build marketing assets and programs for the sales team.
- Test and scale new content formats like newsletters and podcasts.
- Treat content as a growth channel, focusing on audience and pipeline generation.
- Utilize AI for research, drafting, editing, repurposing, and asset production.
- Build own graphics, slides, and landing page copy.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of professional writing or content marketing experience.
- 2+ years in-house at a company (not agency or freelance).
- A portfolio demonstrating speed and range.
- Ability to work in person 5 days a week in the Flatiron office.
