About the Role
Tower Products Incorporated is seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations (DWO) to join their dynamic and dedicated team. This role is responsible for all fulfillment logistics, advocating for the warehouse team, and improving systems for a high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective operation.
Responsibilities
- Develop Logistics and Efficiency Plans for Inventory Control, Picking/Packing, heat-mapping, and product bin locations.
- Drive innovation, automation, and systems to improve logistics.
- Expand upon current KPI’s and performance tracking.
- Manage relationships with freight carriers and shipping material providers to secure lowest costs.
- Develop and enforce best practices in health and safety.
- Demonstrate strong literacy in warehouse and computer technologies.
- Delegate and oversee team leaders with accountability and trust.
- Utilize a process-oriented approach with good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Attract and retain personnel and effectively manage turnover.
- Effectively manage personnel concerns and develop strategies to support their needs and efforts.
- Analyze warehouse data to better strategize and forecast for cost and hiring needs.
- Make financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible business decisions in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor warehouse performance.
- Communicate effectively with Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Leadership, Managers, and Team Leaders.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish productivity and quality goals.
- Partner with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
