About the Role
Plasma is building the primary account for global money, enabling individuals and businesses to manage finances across borders. Our first product, Plasma One, is a global money account for receiving, holding, and sending funds, earning yield, and spending internationally. The underlying Plasma network is built for stablecoin payments, making dollar movement faster, cheaper, and more reliable. The opportunity is to become the central platform for global finances, supporting income, savings, payments, business operations, and the development of new financial products.
Responsibilities
- Own the Plasma experience, inventing new features and shaping the feel of Plasma One from concept to launch.
- Turn the advantages of stablecoins and blockchain into experiences that improve users' financial lives.
- Use AI as a core tool to explore ambitious ideas, build functional prototypes, and enhance design and delivery.
- Transform abstract concepts into working coded prototypes and collaborate with engineers to bring them into production.
- Refine microinteractions, motion, and visual polish in collaboration with engineers.
- Build reusable components and interaction patterns to maintain product coherence as it grows, ensuring design and implementation alignment.
- Utilize research, usability testing, and product data to discover opportunities and improve shipped features.
Requirements
- Substantial consumer product experience, typically 6+ years in product design.
- Shipped native iOS and/or Android work.
- Meaningful contributions to a design system.
- A portfolio showcasing exceptional craft, refined details, reasoning, and contribution to finished products.
- Confidence with functional prototyping to test behavior and communicate intended experiences to engineers.
- Sound product judgment, including explaining how user evidence changed decisions, prioritization rationale, and post-launch outcomes.
- Comfortable making progress when the brief is incomplete.
- Ability to collaborate directly and thoughtfully, making reasoning easy to follow, giving specific feedback, and disagreeing constructively.
- Understanding of when to work independently and when to involve others in decisions.
