About the Role

The Part-Time Resident Manager will supervise residents and oversee facility operations during designated shifts, collaborating with clinical teams and the Program Director to ensure resident needs and facility safety are met. This role requires strong communication skills and experience with the HIV/AIDS population.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a liaison between residents and staff
  • Collaborate with security staff to ensure resident safety and well-being
  • Perform hourly patrols through the facility
  • Manage challenging situations and crises
  • Handle incidents and complete Incident Report forms
  • Communicate noteworthy events to the Program Director and Clinical team
  • Document events in the appropriate logbook
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings
  • Ensure all aspects of the Fire Alarm System (FAS) are working properly and are up to code with FDNY
  • Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least two years of experience working in a social service or residential setting
  • Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer efficient – internet and Microsoft Office
