About the Role

The Residence Manager supervises residents and oversees facility operations during designated shifts, collaborating with clinical teams and the Program Director to ensure resident needs and facility safety are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage challenging situations and crises.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with security staff to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Handle facility incidents and complete Incident Report Forms.
  • Communicate and document noteworthy events to the Program Director and Clinical team.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
  • Ensure the Fire Alarm System is operational and compliant with FDNY codes.
  • Visually inspect and document all components of the Fire Alarm System.
  • Conduct and document quarterly fire drills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Fire Safety certification preferred (F-02 or F-80).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social services or a residential setting.
  • Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including internet and Microsoft Office.
