About the Role
The Part-Time Residence Manager is responsible for the supervision of residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts, ensuring resident needs are met and the facility is safe. This role collaborates with the Clinical team and Program Director, with a focus on supporting residents with HIV/AIDS, seniors, and those with mental illness or substance abuse issues.
Responsibilities
- Function as a liaison between residents and staff.
- Collaborate with security staff to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Manage challenging situations and crises.
- Handle incidents and complete Incident Report forms.
- Communicate and document noteworthy events to the Program Director and Clinical team.
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
- Ensure the Fire Alarm System (FAS) is operational and up to code.
- Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS.
- Conduct and document quarterly fire drills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience working in a social service or residential setting.
- Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient computer skills, including internet and Microsoft Office.
