About the Role
The Residence Manager is responsible for the supervision of residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts, working collaboratively with the Clinical team and Program Director to ensure resident needs and facility safety are met. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and an understanding of working with the HIV/AIDS population.
Responsibilities
- Function as a liaison between residents and staff
- Collaborate with security staff to ensure resident safety and well-being
- Perform hourly patrols through the facility
- Manage challenging situations and/or crises
- Handle incidents and complete Incident Report forms
- Communicate noteworthy events to the Program Director and Clinical team
- Document noteworthy events in the appropriate logbook
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings
- Ensure all aspects of the Fire Alarm System (FAS) are working properly and are up to code with FDNY
- Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- At least two years of experience working in a social service, residential setting
- Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer efficient – internet and Microsoft Office
