About the Role

The Equity Primary Markets team for the Americas communicates the benefits of accessing growth capital and liquidity through London to companies, investors, and advisors. We attract companies to complete IPOs, secondary listings, or utilize the London Stock Exchange's new Private Securities Market. The London Stock Exchange has the highest proportion of international companies among its issuers of any major exchange, offering advantages in scale, cost, litigation risk, and investor quality attractive to US, Canadian, and Latin American issuers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares high quality communications that are well structured, persuasive and concise.
  • Manages expectations, maintains regular contact with colleagues to keep them informed and updated on progress, issues and timetables and raises issues early.
  • Analyses issues to identify the most commercial, realistic and pragmatic solutions.
  • Assimilates information and identifies the pertinent points quickly.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of external challenges, opportunities and threats facing the business.
  • Committed to high standards of excellence; sets thorough and stretching targets.
  • Prioritises business goals and manages challenges to ensure delivery.
  • Carries out work without prompting or close supervision and able to self-manage workload.
  • Understanding of using AI in an applied manner within appropriate ethical, legal and commercial boundaries.
  • Comfort in using social media for content promotion and business development within LSEG policies and guidelines.
  • Willing to travel extensively across the Americas region on a regular basis.
  • Show flexibility in relation to working hours.

Requirements

  • Will have experience in and proven relationships at corporate and founder / institutional shareholder level across the region.
  • Ideally, will have 5 years+ experience in equity capital markets or a corporate finance related business development or relationship management role and a good understanding of LSEG’s core markets and business areas with a professional qualification preferred.
  • Demonstrating an interest for capital markets and for working in a market infrastructure business environment.
  • Proven success in a relationship management or business development role or able to provide evidence of the ability to do so.
  • Able to create rapport with senior executives across a wide range of corporates/advisors in both formal and informal environments.
  • Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of client business both from a commercial and strategic perspective.
  • Experienced public speaker able to present to small and large groups of company directors, advisors and investors.
  • Experience of having managed and developed junior staff.
