About the Role
This position is structured with various job assignments to support the digital and broadcasting endeavors. The program will provide opportunities to service many departments within local Philadelphia radio and corporate media projects. The candidate will become familiar with and support all aspects of information technologies for broadcast and digital functions, with strong involvement in new video streaming content projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior broadcast engineers to support the roles of a broadcast technician and broadcast IT engineer.
- Become familiar with AM and FM transmitter facilities, routine maintenance, and hands-on projects under supervision.
- Collaborate with digital teams to fulfill technological needs and planning.
- Work with local radio market brand managers on video production and distribution through current platforms, utilizing NDI, OBS, V-Mix, and TriCaster.
- Innovate new approaches to evolving technologies.
- Take a leadership role in front-of-house technical activities for performance spaces.
- Work with core sports broadcast production teams for Eagles and Phillies radio, focusing on technical operations for Eagles radio broadcasts.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of computers and IT systems.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Ability to multitask in a multiple-project environment.
- Availability to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
- A valid driver's license, satisfactory motor vehicle record check, and proof of insurance if using personal vehicle.
- A recent graduate of an undergraduate or relevant advanced degree program, trade school, or equivalent experience.
- Motivated, fearless, curious, inquisitive, critical thinker, and passionate individual.
