About the Role
Accenture's Canada Natural Resources (CNR) practice partners with leading mining companies to enhance operations, drive growth, and mitigate risk through innovation, transformation, and digital enablement. We focus on integrating the full Mine-to-Market value chain, bridging the gap between digital investment and tangible business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess client functions and performance across the mining value chain to identify areas for improvement in performance, cost, capital efficiency, and enterprise value.
- Structure opportunities in business terms, defining key metrics such as cost per tonne, throughput, asset utilization, capital recovery, and broader enterprise impact.
- Develop and validate strategic recommendations for senior client stakeholders, including business cases, investment rationale, portfolio prioritization, and growth or cost strategies.
- Design solutions encompassing process, people, and technology, with a focus on maximizing value creation.
- Support technology-enabled transformation initiatives, grounding solutions in operational reality to ensure measurable business outcomes.
- Lead and deliver implementation workstreams alongside client teams, focusing on execution and sustained value delivery.
- Build credibility with operational and technical counterparts at the site level while creating executive-ready communications and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to CNR practice development through proposals, thought leadership, and internal knowledge building.
- Support the development of junior team members through coaching, collaboration, and apprenticeship.
Requirements
- A working knowledge of the mining value chain and its impact on the bottom line.
- Ability to diagnose operational problems with structure.
- Comfort interacting with site technical teams, project offices, and corporate leadership.
- Quantitative grounding to build and stress-test business cases.
- Pragmatism regarding realistic implementation.
- Willingness to be on-site with clients as required.
- English proficiency is required for regular interaction with stakeholders across Canada, the US, and other global locations.
