About the Role
Agency Lending Electronic Trading connects institutional lending supply with borrower demand, enabling low-touch trading and developing quantitative models. This role supports State Street’s purpose of creating better outcomes for investors and shaping the future of securities finance through technology and data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantitative securities finance strategies to generate revenue.
- Develop algorithms and models for pricing and managing global securities inventory.
- Design automated trading solutions with core systems and user interfaces.
- Build analytics to inform trading decisions throughout the trade lifecycle.
- Apply programming and quantitative skills to evaluate electronic trading effectiveness.
- Lead the development of reusable tools for quantitative research and strategy creation.
- Integrate the lending program with new and existing electronic trading venues.
- Manage daily desk operations, including system monitoring and production diagnostics.
- Serve as Product Owner for electronic trading, partnering with Global Technology Services.
- Build expertise in global securities finance, including market structure, technology, regulation, and financial resource management.
- Partner with Agency Lending Voice Trading to align trading activities.
- Uphold State Street policies for Model Risk Management, Algorithmic Trading, and EUDTs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python.
- Experience with a production language such as Java or C++ is preferred.
- Experience trading securities finance products, including securities lending, repo, or swaps is preferred.
- Strong interest in the intersection of financial markets and technology.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and sound software design principles is preferred.
