About the Role
Iskalo Development Corp. is seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including new construction, historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse, commercial office and mixed-use developments, hospitality projects, and tenant improvements and renovations. You'll work directly for the owner and developer, collaborating with various internal teams throughout every phase of a project, seeing your ideas become reality while helping create buildings that make a lasting impact on our community.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts and design solutions for new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and tenant improvement projects.
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications.
- Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials to support project planning and presentations.
- Coordinate with consulting engineers, contractors, code officials, and other project stakeholders throughout design and construction.
- Collaborate closely with our Development, Construction, Leasing, and Property Management teams to deliver successful projects.
- Conduct site visits during design and construction to review existing conditions, monitor progress, and resolve field issues.
- Support permitting, code review, construction administration, RFIs, and submittmits.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and project schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- 3-7 years of architectural design experience
- Proficiency in Revit
- Working knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes
- Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally to project sites
- Master's Degree in Architecture
- Experience with commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or adaptive reuse projects
- Experience managing projects from schematic design through construction administration
- Architectural licensure is welcomed but not required. Candidates actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to travel to local project sites and affiliate properties
- Ability to walk active construction sites and occasionally lift project materials or equipment
