About the Role
Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services in London, ON is seeking dedicated and experienced operators for the Winter Season. We are looking for individuals who are committed to providing high-level service, enjoy working with machinery, and are comfortable with varying weather conditions. Safety is paramount, and the ability to respond quickly is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, loaders, and back-hoes to lift and plow snow.
- Practice safety by estimating weights and distances, being aware of surroundings, minimizing hazards, and reporting injuries or damage.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment, including tires, controls, fuel, and fluids.
- Test machine operations periodically.
- Fix minor issues that may arise during a shift.
- Maintain activity logs.
Requirements
- Proven snow removal experience as a machine operator.
- Demonstrate competency operating equipment at the time of interview.
- Clean driving record.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of protective gear.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- On-call availability for the Winter Season with minimal notice required.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery cautiously and safely.
- Ensure no machinery issues go unnoticed.
- Complete internal training program.
- Valid G license required for 4x4 and salt truck operators.
- Provide a Driver's Abstract at the time of interview for 4x4 and salt truck operators.
