About the Role
Discord is seeking a Senior Staff Program Manager, Creators to build and scale its creator program from the ground up. This role involves developing strategies, programs, and systems to better serve creators and their communities on the platform, ultimately enhancing Discord's role in the future of gaming.
Responsibilities
- Build Discord’s creator strategy from the ground up.
- Establish clear ownership and coherence for existing creator initiatives.
- Define the creator demographic and develop an approach for selecting and serving a trusted group.
- Create programs for creators, including accelerated support, escalation paths, and communication channels.
- Manage direct relationships with key creators, understanding their needs and building trust.
- Build a creator council or network for consistent feedback and platform improvement insights.
- Develop systems and playbooks for scalable program growth while maintaining relationships and responsiveness.
Requirements
- A strong passion for Discord and/or gaming, and an appreciation for creators and communities.
- 7+ years in creator partnerships, community, platform programs, marketing, product partnerships, or a related field.
- Deep familiarity with creator audience building, business operations, and community management across various platforms (YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Patreon, Reddit, Discord).
- Experience building and operating creator or partner programs at scale, with the ability to start with a select group and design for growth.
- A bias for shipping and iterating, launching initial versions, learning, and increasing ambition over time.
- Comfort leading as an individual contributor, creating alignment and momentum without relying on headcount or reporting lines.
- Excellent cross-functional partnership skills across Support, Product, Marketing, Comms, Partnerships, and Policy.
