About the Role
Buffalo Solar is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead the day-to-day field execution of commercial solar projects. This hands-on role is for an experienced individual in commercial electrical or construction who is ready for increased responsibility, including crew coordination, quality and safety oversight, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily installation activities and subcontractor crews.
- Review project plans and electrical drawings to ensure work meets project requirements.
- Monitor installation quality, productivity, safety, and project schedule.
- Identify field issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Receive, inspect, stage, secure, and track project materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure proper project preparation before crew mobilization.
- Maintain organized, safe jobsites and protect customer property.
- Assist with company vehicle, trailer, tool, and field-equipment readiness.
- Support project closeout, punch-list completion, and correction of field deficiencies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial electrical, construction, or similar field experience.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and construction plans.
- Working knowledge of electrical construction and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong field problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, customers, and project teams.
- Comfortable working on commercial rooftops and active construction sites.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
