About the Role

The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator (FIC) coordinates OPWDD Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver programs, focusing on Fiscal Intermediary responsibilities. This includes oversight, compliance, collaboration with support teams, budget review, and reimbursement processing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with relevant OPWDD regulations and agency policies.
  • Troubleshoot eVero issues, such as staff clocking in/out.
  • Review reports including Overtime, Watch Hours, Staff Action Plan, Life Plan, Level of Care, and DDP2s.
  • Maintain and oversee a caseload to support Self-Hired Staff and Individuals who choose Self-Direction.
  • Process Support Broker Billing and review Monthly Expenditure Reports.
  • Review budgets and attend Circle of Support Meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners like Care Managers and Support Brokers.
  • Conduct training for Circle of Support members on the Self-Direction model.
  • Review PCCS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance within Payroll with the Finance/Payroll Department.
  • Resolve outstanding payroll issues, including Employee Time, Attendance Roster, and Late Timesheet processing.
  • Monitor revenue within the Fiscal Intermediary Department.
  • Ensure Fiscal Intermediary Fee meets OPWDD standards and billing requirements.
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of people supported.
  • Assist people supported with identifying additional resources and services.
  • Ensure proper reporting, investigation, and review of all incidents relative to OPWDD Part 624 regulations and the New York State Justice Center.
  • Complete all mandatory and assigned training.
  • Take initiative in asking for support and enrolling in training opportunities for professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Ability to travel using any means of transportation required.
  • Must be able to assist with toileting and hygiene, which could involve lifting.

Salary/Compensations

  • $53500.00 - $73500.00
