About the Role
APTIM Federal Services is seeking a Construction Heavy Truck Driver with a CDL license to operate 12-to-15-yard dump trucks and 2000 to 4000-gallon water trucks for projects at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, CA. These projects involve investigating, excavating, and restoring environmentally and radiologically impacted soil, as well as shoreline restoration and seawall construction. The role offers work that is challenging and critically important, paying the Federal prevailing wage scale (Davis-Bacon Act).
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and water trucks safely and proficiently.
- Ensure proper maintenance and fueling of vehicles.
- Maintain daily documentation of inspections and other required paperwork.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Perform other duties, including periodic labor, as required.
Requirements
- Possess a proper state-required driver's license and pass DMV audits.
- Have dependable transportation and cell phone service.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant construction experience.
- Live locally (daily commute) to Hunter's Point.
- Provide a resume documenting verifiable experience.
