About the Role
The Liquid Finance Platform is central to delivering best-in-class products and services, and strategic client and risk solutions across Prime Financing businesses.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to optimize the Liquid Financing relationship.
- Provide best-in-class service and escalation oversight.
- Serve as the primary contact for Liquid Financing clients regarding trading, risk, billing, and reporting.
- Provide expertise on industry and regulatory initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert for clients, with a deep understanding of their business mix, operational requirements, and product sensitivities.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies.
- Manage and maintain policies and processes.
- Deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with other work areas and business-aligned support areas to stay updated on business activity and strategies.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- Define problems and develop innovative solutions through in-depth analysis and interpretative thinking.
- Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
- Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills.
- Oversee and enhance clearing processes.
- Work closely with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to complete client documentation.
- Coordinate functions, legal, and compliance on regulatory and market structure development.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams on Barclays’ capabilities in the clear derivatives space.
- Drive and maintain a commitment to remarkable client service.
Requirements
- Experience with US rules and regulations related to futures, derivatives, and FX prime brokerage.
- Experience with legal documentation governing futures, derivatives, and FX prime brokerage.
- Comprehensive understanding of products, trading mechanics, and life cycle events.
- This role is regulated by FINRA.
- This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
