About the Role
A Staff Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the datacentre, ensuring all production server environments are secure, operational, and highly available through continuous proactive monitoring, customer support, and scheduled maintenance preparation.
Responsibilities
- Understand all Datacentre specific hardware & material.
- Spec, assemble, and test structured cabling for 10G - 40G - 100G applications, specific to trading platforms (Fiber, Copper, Coax, Tapping etc.).
- Demonstrate full working knowledge of all cabinet-level hardware and industry-standard cable management, documentation, and labeling standards/best practices.
- Distinguish between all available power options at the cabinet level and calculate full cabinet and RPP loads.
- Understand the different trades required for low and high voltage work within a datacentre.
- Troubleshoot and configure a variety of network devices, including subnetting and VLANs.
- Troubleshoot server OS, hardware (memory, motherboards, storage), and connectivity issues.
Requirements
- Experience with Google Applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Lucid.
- Experience with DCIM software (SunBird, RF Code, Packet Power).
