About the Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a driving force in the design, implementation and optimisation of our critical IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in further developing our containerisation strategies using Docker and Kubernetes, as well as implementing robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. This role offers the opportunity to actively shape the future of our technical environment while ensuring high performance, scalability and security across our systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, and optimisation of critical IT infrastructure
- Further developing containerisation strategies using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implementing robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
- Automating complex processes with tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Developing customised scripts in Python, Bash or PowerShell to increase operational efficiency
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration
- Practical knowledge of containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
- Expertise in infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Experience using GitLab for version control and project management
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure or Open Telekom Cloud
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, such as VMware vSphere
- Practical experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana or the ELK Stack
- Basic knowledge of IT security in infrastructure operations
- Understanding of system architecture principles
