About the Role

This 10-week on-site internship program is designed for current juniors entering their senior year in Fall 2027. It offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the systems that manage financial transactions, protect client data, and ensure the stability of global markets, while also learning how to defend these systems against evolving threats. The program provides hands-on experience in risk assessment, internal controls evaluation, audit testing, documentation, and reporting findings, with a focus on cybersecurity and IT audit within a global financial firm.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful Internal Audit projects.
• Build practical experience in risk assessment, internal controls evaluation, audit testing, documentation, and communicating findings.
• Examine access management, data integrity, network security, and application controls.
• Test automated processes.
• Review system configurations.
• Conduct risk assessments under the guidance of IT Audit leadership.
• Translate audit findings into actionable recommendations for technologists.
• Partner with interns across the firm on a project tackling a real business challenge.
• Present capstone project to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Currently a junior in college, entering your senior year in Fall of 2027.
• A background in information technology is required (major, minor, coursework, certifications, prior internship, or hands-on project work).
• Common IT backgrounds include computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, data analytics, software engineering, and management information systems.
• Finance, business, or accounting students with a genuine technology focus are also considered.
• Strong academic achievement with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, club, or work experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sharp attention to detail and a questioning mindset.
• Solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
