About the Role
The Special Education Therapy Assistant will work one-on-one with children with autism ages 2-3 under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher. This role offers training by a Licensed Behavior Analyst and learning opportunities from Speech and Occupational Therapy clinicians, with potential for career growth in Early Childhood, Special Education, ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism ages 2-3.
- Receive supervision and support from a Special Education Teacher.
- Receive training from a Licensed Behavior Analyst.
- Learn from clinicians in Speech and Occupational Therapy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work entire shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and monitor the safety of a child.
- Able to provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
Skills
- Passionate about working one-on-one with 2 - 3 year old children.
- Interested in a career in Early Childcare, Special Education, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy or the healthcare industry.
- Committed to building a professional brand as someone dependable and someone that takes pride in providing life-changing services to children.
- Understanding of the importance of working in a team and promoting a supportive environment for your co-workers.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and take on any challenge.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
