About the Role

Responsibilities
- Clean corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop carpets and floors.
- Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
- Disinfect bathroom stalls, countertops, toilets, and urinals.
- Restock all bathroom supplies.
- Clean all glass surfaces.
- Transport trash and broken-down cardboard boxes to dumpsters.
- Deliver cots and cribs to guest rooms.
- Report lost and found items, maintenance problems, or special room problems to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Assist co-workers when needed and clean rooms as required.
- Provide guests with information about hotel services, facilities, and amenities.
- Respond professionally to guests' requests or complaints.
- Arrive at work in a clean, pressed uniform with a nametag and maintain a positive attitude.
- Find a replacement if an unscheduled day off is necessary.
- Check with supervisor for additional tasks before leaving.
- Represent MCHG positively within the community.
Requirements
- Must be able to walk for 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift 35–50 lbs.
- Must be able to carry 20–35 lbs. up to a distance of 200 ft.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, grasp, push, and pull.
