About the Role
This role supports the global Credit business at Morningstar, focusing on marketing automation and analytics. You will own platforms, data, and reporting frameworks to enhance marketing effectiveness and efficiency, driving operational excellence in a growing business unit.
Responsibilities
- Define the martech vision, strategy, and roadmap for the global Credit business.
- Own the end-to-end management of marketing technology platforms, including strategy, integrations, governance, and administration.
- Serve as the primary administrator for marketing automation platforms, managing configuration, access, enhancements, and vendor relationships.
- Design, implement, and optimize marketing automation programs, campaign templates, lead scoring models, audience journeys, and lifecycle frameworks.
- Support the marketing team in executing efficient and effective campaigns through marketing technology platforms.
- Stay current on marketing automation, data management, analytics, and martech best practices.
- Own the marketing data architecture across marketing platforms, ensuring data frameworks support business objectives and scalability.
- Maintain an up-to-date marketing audience database with high data quality and standardization, establishing governance and ensuring privacy compliance.
- Oversee audience segmentation strategy and governance across platforms for consistency, relevance, and compliance.
- Define, maintain, and evolve marketing measurement frameworks, KPIs, and attribution methodologies.
- Analyze the marketing database and generate actionable audience insights for marketing campaigns.
- Analyze marketing funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, and audience behavior to identify optimization opportunities.
- Integrate marketing performance data from multiple sources and develop centralized marketing performance and executive dashboards.
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to deliver insights that inform strategy and investment decisions.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by providing insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing automation architecture.
- Deep hands-on expertise in marketing platform (Pardot, HubSpot, or related) administration, configuration, and integration with Salesforce and supporting technologies.
- Strong understanding of lead management, routing, and scoring processes.
- Experience with marketing intelligence and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicating effectively with stakeholders and prioritizing to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members as well as work independently and autonomously.
- High attention to detail and a deep appreciation and proven ability for process-driven and detailed execution of marketing activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience overcoming ambiguity.
- Personal and related investments must be disclosed confidentially to the Compliance team.
- Investments will be reviewed to ensure they meet Code of Ethics requirements.
- If conflicts of interest are identified, holdings must be liquidated immediately.
- Certain employee accounts must be held with an approved broker.
