About the Role

Kids Help Phone (KHP) is seeking a Manager, Clinical & Content to play a key leadership role in expanding mental health literacy by developing and managing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and inclusive content, as well as providing clinical oversight for Brand, Storytelling and Communications (BSC) deliverables. This role blends clinical expertise with content and communications leadership, overseeing the planning, development and execution of content programs, and ensuring all outputs reflect best practices and measurable outcomes. The Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver against the content strategy and KPIs, including driving continuous improvement in workflows, processes, and cross-functional ways of working. They lead clinical review processes, identify trends and multichannel content gaps, and evolve resources to maximize reach, accessibility, and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team to achieve strategic goals and deliver high-quality work.
  • Manage content program budgets and resources to meet objectives.
  • Oversee staff performance, development, and training.
  • Continuously improve workflows, processes, and ways of working through innovation and technology.
  • Contribute to content and discoverability strategies and annual content planning.
  • Monitor and achieve content KPIs and departmental goals.
  • Champion a multi-channel content approach and efficient content production processes.
  • Define and evaluate metrics to measure content impact and effectiveness.
  • Lead the planning, development, and delivery of key mental health content programs and initiatives.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities to expand reach and impact.
  • Establish content standards, policies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Drive innovation in content formats, tools, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Kids Help Phone's clinical standards and evidence-based practices.
  • Lead clinical reviews, audits, and quality assurance for mental health content.
  • Translate complex clinical information into accessible, audience-focused resources.
  • Provide guidance on sensitive topics, trauma-informed practices, and content standards.
  • Assess, develop, and strengthen strategic partnerships that support departmental priorities.
  • Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with external organizations and partners.
  • Integrate partner contributions into content initiatives and programs.
  • Lead content projects from planning through execution, ensuring quality, timelines, and objectives are achieved.
  • Manage multiple priorities, resources, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Monitor results, address risks proactively, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counselling Psychology, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the social services sector, including knowledge translation, content development, or program management experience.
  • Clinical experience supporting children, youth, and young adults.
  • Strong knowledge of child and youth mental health, counselling, and social services.
  • Understanding of evidence-based approaches such as Single Session Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Crisis Intervention.
  • Experience leading complex projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management and project management tools.
  • Excellent research, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to balance big-picture goals with attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of a background screen, which may include criminal, credit, employment and educational checks.
