About the Role

This role involves defining the roadmap and strategy for MCU products, translating customer needs into product specifications, and driving cross-functional alignment to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management. The focus is on validating requirements, expanding market reach, and creating competitive product offerings.

Responsibilities

Conduct customer discovery and market insight gathering to understand unmet needs and requirements.
Translate validated customer needs into market requirements documents, value propositions, and product specifications.
Shape the roadmap and lifecycle choices for various MCU product lines.
Develop business cases with assumptions on volume, ASP, revenue, margin, investment, and risk.
Maintain competitive benchmarking and develop clear win themes.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, PMO, Product Marketing, Sales, and other departments.
Secure lead customers and manage pre-NPI technical and commercial alignment.
Guide NPI readiness, pricing, training, and collateral, and monitor product adoption.
Validate U.S. customer requirements and business cases for next-generation MCU products.
Expand the U.S. customer and channel pipeline across various application areas.
Define a clear RX-versus-RA segmentation, migration, and coexistence strategy.
Create competitive requirements and quantified product value propositions for roadmap items.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, embedded systems, or a related discipline.
Experience in MCU product definition, system architecture, applications engineering, or technical marketing.
Strong knowledge of 32-bit MCU architectures and embedded-system trade-offs.
Demonstrated ability to conduct customer discovery and convert ambiguous needs into prioritized product requirements.
Experience building product business cases and influencing cross-functional decisions without direct authority.
Understanding of U.S. customer engagement, regional market dynamics, distribution, and channel models.
Professional fluency in English, with strong written, presentation, executive-communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel regularly to customer and internal sites across the United States.
Ability to collaborate effectively across Americas, Japan, and global time zones.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Japanese teams.
