About the Role
Build a reusable, configurable, and extensible generation experience platform for any Firefly surface, ensuring a simple and obvious user experience with depth for advanced needs. This role requires strong collaboration with the design organization to craft a shared experience that teams want to adopt.
Responsibilities
- Own the requirements, architecture-level tradeoffs, and rollout plan for a shared prompting and generation experience across all Firefly surfaces.
- Balance core, universal features with surface-specific configurations.
- Partner with engineering on the technical contract for integration with Firefly's generation services, model availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with the design team to define the look and feel of the experience, balancing simplicity with advanced capabilities.
- Ensure the experience scales across various surfaces, model types, and workflows, adapting to converging editing and generation paradigms.
- Monitor new capabilities from research, competitors, and the model landscape to define optimal use cases, surfaces, and experiences.
- Shape and deliver launch experiences for new capabilities.
- Take ownership of new experiences that deviate from existing patterns, defining the next interaction patterns.
Requirements
- Strong product management experience with a track record of shipping platform-level or shared-component experiences adopted by multiple teams.
- Excellent design instincts and fluency in partnering with designers.
- Technical depth sufficient for credible engagement on architecture tradeoffs.
- A strong point of view on unified direction and patience to build cross-team support.
- An eye for new interaction patterns as capabilities emerge, beyond just maintaining existing ones.
