About the Role
Toonie Tours is seeking Tour Guides in Toronto, Ontario, to lead entertaining and engaging tours for groups of 5-30 customers. This freelance, contractor position is ideal for individuals passionate about Canada and knowledgeable about their local community, with a performance-based compensation model.
Responsibilities
- Learn, research, design, and personalize tours and stories for authentic presentation.
- Meet, welcome, and lead tour groups of 5-30 customers.
- Provide local recommendations and tips to travelers.
- Represent Toonie Tours, your community, and tour guides to the public.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
- Fluent English speaking ability.
- Ability to present and speak loudly.
- Ability to adapt to varying circumstances.
- Punctual and arrives early for every tour.
- Physically fit to manage 5 km of walking in 3 hours while speaking and presenting.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
