About the Role
Support the overall total quality focus of the manufacturing plant by focusing on documentation and distribution of finished product and ingredient data. Assess and report compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, GFSI Initiatives, Customer Specifications, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support Quality Systems, Food Safety Policies, Procedures and practices involved in the manufacturing process.
- Perform and/or observe line processing checks on packaging lines at required frequencies.
- Collect line samples for customer send out and lab.
- Serve as the point of contact for quality concerns with production and lab.
- Conduct area pre-ops, post cleaning, prior to start up and in-process checks.
- Assist in all investigations, including customer and root cause analyses.
- Perform internal auditing, GMP, Glass-Plastic, and document audits.
- Conduct Master Sanitation checks.
- Input repair orders and follow up for completion.
- Assist with HOLDS, paperwork, Ross transactions, and email communications, ensuring product segregation.
- Review re-work from holds prior to release.
- Pull ingredient samples and run testing for product identity.
- Monitor environment temperatures and humidity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines is required.
- Confidentiality regarding customer and product information is essential.
- Must be able to use standard computer equipment (Computer, Copier, Fax, and Phone).
- Must be able to bend, reach, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a production facility environment exposed to slippery floors, heat, cold, and noise.
