About the Role

The 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience designed to immerse participants in the daily operations of a global financial services company. Interns will gain industry and organizational knowledge through business interactions and project work, engage with senior leaders, and network with employees and other interns. This program offers realistic exposure to working at Guardian and may lead to consideration for the Finance Leadership Development Program.

Responsibilities

Analyze and report on investment portfolio performance, asset allocation, investment income, and key financial metrics.
Develop transferable skills in financial analysis, data analytics, financial reporting, and business storytelling.
Gain exposure to senior leadership and contribute to high-visibility materials reviewed by business leaders and C-suite executives.
Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members.
Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, operations, and product/service offerings.
Build a professional network and foster a sense of community with other interns and business units.
Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and information.

Requirements

Must be a current junior with a graduation date of May 2028.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
F-1 visa holders requiring H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered.
H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available.
Must be available for the full program dates (May 27, 2027 - August 6, 2027).
An interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk.
Willingness to learn about different functions and career paths.
A strong interest in finance, accounting, and investments.
Experience in Microsoft Excel.
Eagerness to develop skills in financial reporting, data analytics, and data visualization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn how investment reporting supports decision-making.
