About the Role
Community Medical and Dental Care, a non-profit community health center in Rockland County, NY, is seeking a dedicated part-time Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions.
- Plan and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy programs tailored to patient needs and goals.
- Help patients regain physical functioning and independence through therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices.
- Evaluate therapy results and adjust the plan of care as needed.
- Instruct patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and provide education for at-home care.
Requirements
- Current NY State Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patients preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
