About the Role
Community Medical & Dental Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time or part-time position to serve the medically-underserved population of Rockland County, NY. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a positive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to examine and treat patients.
- Assess and treat acute injuries, infections, and illnesses.
- Prescribe and interpret lab tests to identify infections or abnormalities.
- Maintain professional service records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and review reports, claims, and correspondence.
- Provide in-office and telemedicine services.
- Prescribe medication and treatment.
- Recommend disease prevention and hygiene practices.
- Refer patients to other physicians or resources as needed.
- Follow up on outside referrals, labs, and consults.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of previous experience.
- Ability to establish a healthy rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to independently evaluate patients, establish differential diagnoses, order necessary tests/investigations, and formulate treatment plans.
- Practice evidence-based medicine and stay updated on treatment guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
