About the Role

As an Occupancy Planning Lead, you will manage a team of occupancy planners, planning assistants, and MAC team members. You will utilize data and analytical insights to develop and present space scenarios to stakeholders, partnering closely with the client Workplace Planner to understand client group requests and assess available space options. This role requires strong relationship management skills and knowledge of Corporate Real Estate, working with the Campus Development team to proactively drive program sizing and location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic plan for space usage and location of programs and business groups.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for quality control in terms of consistency in planning processes, procedures, and protocols, as well as team performance.
  • Use data, analytical insights, and strong problem-solving skills to develop and present multiple space scenarios to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the client Workplace Planner to anticipate and understand requests from different client groups, assess space options, and develop options that account for competing priorities.
  • Work with the Campus Development team to proactively drive the sizing and location of programs, amenities, and campus needs.
  • Serve as liaison and facilitate communication between planning staff, other Jones Lang LaSalle team members, client real estate staff, and support vendors.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the yearly Campus Re-stack process by leveraging demand needs and portfolio data analytics.
  • Ensure global consistency in the delivery of services by providing training and review of all deliverables.
  • Guarantee that Jones Lang LaSalle’s continually evolving “best practices” are incorporated into the work product of the entire team.
  • Make sure a strong collaboration with other JLL service lines.
  • Lead campus-wide projects, delegating occupancy planning project work across the collective Sr. OP and OP organization.
  • Implement analytical methodologies for solving business problems to make portfolio-level decisions.
  • Develop insights from large-scale data sets to determine impact on project goals, business goals, and long-term planning strategies.
  • Support working sessions with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Articulate and represent campus scenarios to illustrate a range of relevant solutions based on research that meet client objectives.
  • Guide the development of project narratives through presentations and reports.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to occupancy planning team members and maintain strategic direction and expectations set by the client.
  • Work closely with the IFM, MAC / project relocation team, and client stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Mentor the occupancy planning team on campus strategy methodologies.
  • Lead and facilitate client meetings and presentations with Project/Strategy Directors.
  • Focus on learning client business, culture, and desired outcomes.
  • Share relevant precedents for context and inspiration.
  • Assist in building client relationships as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of relevant professional experience post-graduation.
  • 8-10+ years of experience leading occupancy planning teams.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Passionate about the built environment and its impact on individuals and organizations.
  • Understand how workplace design, policies, technologies, and operations can impact organizational outcomes.
  • Experienced with workplace research methodologies and activities, and can work with both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • A clear communicator and presenter of ideas, findings, and/or point of view.

Salary/Compensations

  • 140,000.00 – 165,000.00 USD per year
