About the Role

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Give & Go Canadian facilities and grounds, providing technical support to various teams including Operations, Maintenance, HSE, QA, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Assist Facilities Maintenance Manager in developing building systems maintenance policies, practices, and procedures.
Assign, prioritize, and supervise work duties to meet schedules.
Identify and develop plans to address deferred maintenance and renewal of building systems.
Organize and conduct training for Maintenance on the operation and maintenance of facilities systems.
Develop and present proposals to improve reliability and cost savings.
Safely operate facilities systems to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and utilities.
Troubleshoot, coordinate services to repair, maintain, calibrate, alter/modify, and install various systems including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.
Obtain quotes from vendors and secure PO approvals.
Compile and maintain documentation for all completed work.
Audit and evaluate the operational effectiveness and preventive maintenance program of building systems for continuous improvement.
Participate in health and safety programs and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Work closely with and provide technical support to Operations, Maintenance, HSE, QA, and Engineering teams on capital initiatives.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with GMP, local codes, SOPs, work instructions, and safety standards.
Assist Facilities Maintenance Manager on implementation of service contracts and managing external service providers.
Compile, analyze, and present statistical data regarding building systems and facilities.
Respond to information requests from internal and external parties.
Perform other duties within the Engineering department as required.
Follow Give & Go’s health and safety program, rules, and procedures.
Use or wear required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Report any hazardous or unsafe conditions, equipment defects, or contraventions of health and safety legislation to the Supervisor.
Ensure food safety and quality programs and SQF system requirements are fully implemented and followed.
Ensure there is a trained and competent backup for key personnel positions.
