Responsibilities

  • Handle all customer inquiries, requests, and complaints regarding the establishment and maintenance of electric service.
  • Determine, prepare, and perform demand, load factor, projected revenue, proper metering equipment, rate application, service deposits, agreements for electric extensions, application of tariffs, rules and regulations, codes and standards.
  • Secure easements and communicate company programs and service inspections.
  • Plan, design, prepare sketches, cost estimates, and necessary orders for the construction and maintenance of all electric transmission and distribution facilities, applying technical expertise and company standards.
  • Act as a coordinator for work orders and be responsible for coordinating activities to provide timely customer service.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science from an accredited engineering or technological school.
  • Electrical background/utility experience is preferred.
  • Curriculums must be from an ABET or equivalent accredited engineering or technical school or program.
  • A valid US driver's license.
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
  • Successful applicant must prove they are a US citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, a citizen/national/permanent resident of a "Generally Authorized" destination (and not of a country not listed), or a "Protected Individual" under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, if the position requires access to information covered by 10 CFR 810.
  • May be required to perform functions different from normal operations and work extended hours during storm/outage restoration efforts.
  • May be required to work on premise or in an alternate location as directed by the company during storm/outage restoration efforts.
  • Subject to pre-employment, for-cause, post-incident/accident, and random drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana for federally regulated roles). Use of marijuana/cannabis products is prohibited for employees in federally regulated roles.
