About the Role
Assist Ambulance is seeking new and experienced Paramedics to join their team in Bronx, NY. As a NYC EMS agency with a 30-year history, Assist Ambulance provides a full range of emergency medical and transportation services, including Advanced and Basic Life Support for various healthcare facilities and community organizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support via emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports.
Requirements
- Must possess an active NY State EMT-P card; NYC REMAC is required, NREMT card alone is not accepted.
- Paramedics with no prior experience are encouraged to apply if fully certified.
- Must be at least 20 years old with one year of driving experience in New York City.
- Must hold a valid, clean NYS D Class driver’s license; DJ licenses are not accepted.
- Must be physically fit to lift 125 lbs. and pass a lifting assessment.
- Must be able to obtain 19A physical clearance and a negative PPD test (vouchers provided).
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screening.
- Must commit to at least two 12-hour shifts per week on the same days each week.
- Must be good with people and able to act responsibly under extreme duress.
- Criminal history will be considered in accordance with the New York City Fair Chance Act.
